Twenty-third Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin’s Office reports that on March 25, 2024, Michael Laiche (3599 LA 3125, Paulina, LA, age 41), pled guilty to Simple Burglary and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Louisiana Federal Credit Union (FCU) joined forces with OnPath Federal Credit Union to host a Shred Day event on March 16. The collaboration between the two credit unions drew crowds from across the community to the Belle Terre branch of Louisiana FCU. The event, which was free for all participants, led to the shredding of 9,000 pounds of paper and the recycling of 1,500 pounds of electronic waste in just two hours.

The LSU AgCenter, West St. James Farm Bureau, and East St. James Farm Bureau will sponsor the Home Vegetable Garden Contest this spring for adults and 4-H / youth. They will also sponsor Tomato Field Day which will be held in mid-May 2024.
